For over a decade, Caring. And Design Research has been asking the following questions: how can we design tools and services for people that meet the demands of individuals, care givers and family members? How can we be sensitive to the demands of a healthcare work setting? How can an individual's own lived experience foster into personalisation within a particular design? How can caring and empathy become embedded in design education?

We are active as:

• Designers: we are active across various disciplines (from product design to digital design; from service design to the creation of methods)

• Researchers: our main focus of our research tries to bring to the front the voice for those we design for, taking into account a systemic approach.

• Consultants: we support a variety of organisations in their work for people with dementia, people with high support needs living in residential care, children with autism as well as people with severe cognitive and intellectual disabilities.

• Educators: the lessons we have learned have been used as a starting point for new cross-national research projects and international educational initiatives.

We offer collaborations in the form of:

• Residencies: researchers and lecturers looking for residencies for sabbaticals are welcome to reach out to us to see if we can facilitate spending time with us in our research unit.

• Doctoral Supervision: we regularly support PhD candidates with co-supervision both locally and abroad.

• European and regional Research: as a research unit, we are actively involved in both European and national research initiatives. If you are looking for partners, reach out to us.

• Educational exchanges: from workshops to lectures, we are advocates of combining research and education whenever possible.
